According to ESPN.com:
Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reported that Manny Pacquiao is planning to file a defamation lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
What began as a disagreement between the camps of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. over how to handle drug testing for their megafight has spiraled so out of control that the fight was is now in serious jeopardy.
Pacquiao was upset by the allegations.
Quote: “Enough is enough. These people, Mayweather Sr., [Mayweather] Jr. and Golden Boy Promotions, think it is a joke and a right to accuse someone wrongly of using steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs,” said Pacquiao, who denied that he has ever used any banned substance and who has passed all of his drug tests. “I have tried to just brush it off as a mere prefight ploy, but I think they have gone overboard.”
These morons can’t agree on drug testing? Shouldn’t this be handled by some outside organization or the athletic commission of the state they are fighting in? Fans don’t care about this stuff. They just want to see the fight.
The large MMA organizations don't seem to have these problems when putting together a matchup between big names. Why can't boxing figure it out? Is it greed or just plain stupidity.
Boxing is dead and buried and will never return unless someone can figure out a way to get these things done without the circus and side-show that always seems to accompany the fight itself.

Boxing is just big and bloated organizationally, and that is what really facilitated the rise of MMA as a sport. In a decade or so, MMA will be the same way with people wondering if fights are fixed and egos and third parties screwing it up. Maybe then a purer boxing will rise from the ashes.
